Coast 2 Coast spent one month with the local community of San Bernardo del Viento along Colombia’s Caribbean Sea facilitating photography, film, stop-motion, and surfing workshops. As an organization, at the end of each workshop series, we host a neighborhood cinema night together with local kids and their families. This is an opportunity for Coast 2 Coast youth participants present their photography, videos, or art to their family, friends, and fellow community members. It is also an evening for local people to celebrate the beauty of community across generations and spend quality time together watching movies, kids films, and short documentaries that ignite the imagination.
Coast 2 Coast paso un mes con la comunidad local de San Bernardo del Viento junto con el mar caribeño de Colombia facilitando la fotografía, videos, stop-motion, y talleres de surf. Como una organización, al final de cada proyecto, hicimos una noche de cine para el vecindario junto con los niños locales y sus familias. Esta es una oportunidad para los participantes jóvenes de Coast 2 Coast presenten sus fotos, videos, o arte al frente de su familia, amigos, y otros miembros de la comunidad. Es también una noche para la gente local para celebrar la belleza de la comunidad a través de las generaciones y también para pasar un bien tiempo viendo películas, películas hechas por los niños, y pequeños documentales que encienden la imaginación.
